The Region Coach of the Year winners are nominated and selected by the coaches in their region, at the All State Regional meeting. Then the region rep submits the winner for their region for the Coach of the Year ballot in the fall. MIVCA will annually recognize the All Region coaches at the All Star Clinic in July as well as at the banquet held during the fall clinic. The purpose is to honor a coach who may not always have all of the talented players to work with, but who find ways to have "special seasons". Examples would be having the schools best record, maybe winning their league for the first time, or even capturing the district crown that another school has owned for years. The thought process was that often times these teams and coaches are eliminated during Districts or Regionals, and then are never recognized by the membership.

Please note that some of the information for this page was lost when our secretary, Claire Gentile, had her computer damaged in a fire. If your name is misspelled or missing, please send and e-mail so that your accomplishment can be recorded!
